Thoughts on Sparkfun’s AVC Event

I had an awesome time at Sparkfun’s AVC competition. The worst part was the 13 hour drive up there from Arizona, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

Torsion lost both its fights, which was expected. But I still had a great time at my first competition. I met a lot of awesome people and some favorite builders of mine too!

I’m really disappointed in myself though. Combat robotics is something I’ve wanted to do since 1999 when my dad showed me the Las Vegas Battlebots Pay-Per-View. Torsion is a product of horrible procrastination. I plan on building a new Torsion. And you can bet I’ll be starting early!
